When clients work with us, one of the most common questions we hear is:“How does GST apply to my invoice?”
To avoid any confusion, let’s break it down clearly.
📍 For Clients in India
If your billing address is in India, an 18% GST is applicable.
Example:
Service cost: ₹1,00,000
GST @ 18%: ₹18,000
Total Invoice Amount: ₹1,18,000
So, Indian clients will see GST added to the base price on their invoice.
🌍 For Clients Outside India
If your billing address is outside India, then 0% GST is charged. The invoice will only reflect the service cost.
Example:
Service cost: ₹1,00,000
GST @ 0%: ₹0
Total Invoice Amount: ₹1,00,000
This is because international transactions are treated as export of services, which are exempt from GST under Indian tax laws.
✅ Why This Difference?
It all comes down to the place of supply:
Within India → GST applies at 18%.
Outside India → No GST is applicable.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can Indian companies claim GST input credit?
Yes. If you are a registered business with a valid GSTIN, you can claim input tax credit (ITC) on the GST charged in our invoices.
2. Do foreign clients need to pay any taxes in their own country?
That depends on your country’s tax regulations. While we charge 0% GST for international clients, you may still be liable for VAT, sales tax, or other local taxes in your region. Please consult your local tax advisor for guidance.
3. What if an Indian client provides an international billing address?
GST is determined by the official billing address provided on the invoice. If the billing address is in India, GST applies. If the billing address is outside India, GST does not apply.
4. Do we provide GST-compliant invoices?
Absolutely. All invoices issued to Indian clients include GST details and our GSTIN, making them fully compliant with Indian tax laws.
